Ugly Mug StandOur Ugly Mugs took a stand against single use coffee cups at this years Ecofest.
Ecofest participants were encouraged to grab an ugly mug before filling up on their morning coffee. Mugs could be used and returned free of charged or users could purchase the mug for a gold coin donation. The Savour the Flavour coffee van offered $1 off every coffee that used a mug instead of a single use cup on the day. |
Children's pledge of Hope for World Environment DayLeading on from our pledges of hope project rolled out in local schools, the community were invited to make their own personal pledges on recycled flags to be hung around the Toondoon Garden grounds.
People pledged to reduce their waste by reducing their plastic consumption and recycling efforts. This was perfectly related to this years Ecofest theme of 'Slim your bin with a low waste diet'. |
Recycled Musical InstrumentsOur instruments were again, a HIT!
