I am the Dealer Principal at Bill Robertson Toyota, Gladstone. I went to school in Gladstone and University in Brisbane, and returned to Gladstone to take over my family’s business. I have a keen interest in reducing the impact we make on the environment. I enjoy looking for new ways the Gladstone community can creatively recycle.
I have been in Gladstone for approximately 40 years and have always been environmentally aware. I have lived in Gladstone for 18 years and work in the accounting field. I am excited to be part of the Creative Recycling Centre and look forward to learning new and creative ways of recycling and reducing waste, while at the same time working with the CRC team to raise awareness of environmental issues.
As someone who grew up in the bush halfway out to Biloela, my enthusiasm and willingness to learn about our natural environment has never ceased. I understand our need to spend time in nature and how much benefit that can be for people’s physical and mental health. I also know that the environment needs our assistance, care and effort which is why I joined the Creative Recycling Center team.
I have been a resident of Gladstone for the past 50 years. Most of my working life has involved working with people so in retirement I looked at volunteering with like minded people. My involvement with the Creative Recycling Centre commenced with the large rug project and this organisation held my imagination on the environmental and recycling issues that they deliver.
